Spend Spend Spend

As I mentioned last week I have been treating myself to some mini shopping hauls lately (it has been far too long) So here's what I've been buying....

First up Boots:

Ladies if you haven't bought yourselves a Tangle Teezer yet do so asap! I don't know how I've survived so long without one, it is amazing - do it! I finally got around to buying Real Technique make up brushes, I went for the eye starter kit as the face brushes I have are perfect. I shall be doing a review on them soon. Finally I bought a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in Crush. I actually bought this by accident I thought it was something completely different - total blonde moment (it's yet to even be opened)

I popped into Penneys/Primark for one thing only...flat shoes, and I wasn't disappointed how cute are these guys! Summer flats sorted :-)

My love affair with Zara continues...I used to find Zara very hit and miss now I'm in there once a week seeing whats new in and believe me when I say if I could buy one of everything in there I would!
What you see here is my fab red blazer (styled here) boyfriend jeans, the cutest print skirt ever and THE trousers that I have been tracking down for weeks. They never had them in my size and last week I got the last pair. My sis spotted them in my room and was going to pretend she hadn't seen them and buy them too that's how amazing they are :-)

Let's all take a moment to appreciate this print........

And finally a few basic tee's I picked up in New Look, I'm not too keen on the stock New Look have in at the minute but their range of tee's is fab and so reasonably priced.

Nothing beats a good shopping spree :-)

Sweetiepie

Yesterday I couldn't believe it was only Wednesday, today however I feel like it can't already be Thursday - the week has flown!! And this weekend is a Bank Holiday in Ireland YAY! Although it wont be much of a Bank Holiday as I'm running as part of a relay team in the Marathon on Monday - eek!

I am really anxious about it, I know physically that I can do it, I have been training for it it's not like I've just decided to do it but at the same time I'm worried I can't do it - if that makes sense!! Sure I'll see how it goes (please cross all your limbs for me)

Today's outfit is one I wore out two Fridays ago - I tend to head out on Friday's more these days as it means I actually get a weekend plus there's just a nicer crowd out, we always head to the same spot Voodoo Rooms, it's a new(ish) club in Cork and it just kills it, great vibe, not too expensive, brilliant music and like I said a nice crowd.

I've noticed lately all I've been wearing out were black dresses so I decided to switch things up and go as colourful as possible. I had a vision in my head based around this skirt and went on the hunt to find THE perfect top. As always Zara didn't disappoint (I feel like all I wear lately is Zara and Penneys!)

For my make-up I kept it simple and nude with some brown eye shadow to add some depth to my eyes and a really light pink on my lips.

I have to admit I felt fantastic going out, I'm really starting to see my hard work in the gym pay off and for the first time ever I actually like my body - yay high fives! Who knows I might even start using the gym pool (those close to me know I just don't do pools so it would be huge if I ventured in!)

I'm going to leave you with a cute snap of me and my sisters way back when (if you follow me on instagram you'll have already seen it)

How cute were we!!

Thanks for reading guys, B x

Queen Bey

Howdy!!! :-)

What a weekend - if you have not seen Beyonce in concert yet, I advise you to put it on the bucket list.
When it comes to female singers/bands I have seen Britney, Rihanna, Cheryl and Destinys Child in concert and they do not come close to Beyonce (she's a million times better on her own!)
I was a huge fan of hers before the concert now I am literally in awe.
I mean she is tiny yet has decent thighs and she was rocking some leotards, I now love my own thighs ha!
I didn't take too many pics as I prefer to actually enjoy the concert rather then worry about getting the perfect snap plus there are so many put up on FB people get the idea.

Here are a few:

What I wore * Dress Zara * Shoes Faith *

Myself, My Mum & Jen heading off

Love this girl :-)
Me and mum (she spoiled us!)

Pre show cocktails

Strutting her stuff

Giving it socks - she can seriously sing!

After show cocktails :-)

My poor sis had missed her flight home from Scotland so had to fly to Belfast and then bus it to Dublin for the gig, she made perfect time and we had a cocktail ready for her.

Did anyone else head to her throughout her tour - what did you think?

I've had a great Monday and I can feel my luck turning too, pretty excited for what lies ahead for me.

Hope your Monday has been awesome too,

Midyear Resolution and Wednesday Wants

There is something about September that scream’s NEW to me! I am not sure if it has to do with the start of a school/college term, or if it’s due to the summer being over but I always feel like it’s the start of a new year in September. As a result of this feeling I always try and set myself a midyear resolution – this midyear’s resolution is NO MORE EXCUSES!!! Recently it dawned on me that I make a lot of excuses, I’m not going to go to the gym because.. I won’t blog today because... and so on. I am not sure why I do it but I’ve decided it’s time to quit it out – it’s not cool!

Throughout each month I shall be dedicating a post to my favourite stores and my wants from that store = Wednesday Wants (I was very chuffed with myself when I came up with this tehe) - this week it is Zara. I find Zara to be a mecca for professional yet fashionable clothes. You can spend a fortune or a realistic amount depending on the mood you’re in and you will always find something that you will be dreaming about for days on end!

I have put together some collages of my September Wants from Zara;

The first look is zoning in on the professional aesthetic I mentioned. I am in love with the coat; the detailing on the sleeves adds an extra edge to it which is what I am all about. I am a big fan of peplums, they really suit my figure and the fact that this peplum has been added to a work shirt = genius!! Finally the blouse; it could be a bit daring as it has a open slit all down the back, but teamed with a cami underneath during the day it can work as the ultimate outfit for drinks after work!

My second look is all about being off duty! I am the sort of person that even when I’m running errands or just popping down to the shops I like to look my best, it’s not that I am vain it’s simply how I am! I play a lot of hockey so spend enough time in a tracksuit that when it comes to down time I will rarely (if not ever) be seen in a tracksuit of comfy trousers! So to me laziness is all about loose knitwear, that’s why this asymmetric sweater is perfect, teamed with jeans or a loose maxi skirt and you’re set! This check shirt has been in Zara for weeks and I am craving it, I love the colours and once again the studs on the pockets are amazing but I just can’t justify the price (€50) at the moment! Then we come to the shoes – my new obsession is ankle boots, I recently bought a pair in Bershka that are have a wedge heel and I live in them so when I saw these it was love!

My third look is sticking with the casual look; I would head into town for a spot of shopping or a girly lunch with this look. I adore this skirt and I am actually going to pop in and buy it – it is just too cute and work great with heels, pumps and ankle boots (consider it bought.) Teamed with the khaki scarf and burgundy bag you have a winner. This bag just roars sophistication to me and I am having heart palpitations just looking at it!!

There you have it my Zara Wednesday Wants and how I would wear them – feel free to let me know your spin on them and of course what you might be lusting after in Zara!!
