A Tidy House....

So I'm three days into my new job and it's only tonight that I have had five minutes to spare - I LOVE IT!

When I found out I had got the job I was faced with the ultimate dilemma....What am I going to wear???

The dress code is smart casual which threw a tiny spanner in the works. As I get paid at the end of the month I couldn't exactly go on a mad shopping spree so I set aside a day to do a massive clear out and a re-organisation of my wardrobe and hopefully I would have enough clothes for June.

How good did I do??? I am especially pleased with my shoes, I threw out a rake well gave them to charity and now I can actually see what I have. You know the saying a tidy house is a tidy mind..well that is certainly the case with my wardrobe I feel awesome with it so clean!

So once I could see all of my clothes and knew exactly what I have, I set about planning my outfits for the three weeks in June. And I only ended up having to buy a pair of black court shoes and then I treated myself to one new outfit (this will get a dedicated blog post as it's fab!)

Don't ask me what I'm going to do for July eek!!

Dun Dun Dun.........

Confession time....I might have set myself a June Goal already knowing the outcome! In my defense it had always been down as a goal I just never thought it would happen so soon.

What was the goal??? Haven't I gone and got myself a new job :-)
I am now a Digital Marketing Executive for a company here in Cork - yay!!

Upon getting the job me and the family went out for dinner to celebrate, this was decided as I arrived home from Pilates so ignore the shiny face and ucky hair thanks :-)

I literally threw on whatever I saw first;

Black string New Look, Pink jeans H&M, Flats Penneys Necklace Penneys

We headed to Jacques Tapas Bar, this is newly opened and was delicious. At first we weren't too impressed with the selection we felt there wasn't enough and I was famished (no surprises there) so we decided to order one of everything and see how we got on - it was enough!

The meat board - this was what it was like after it was set down - yes we're savages!

Rhubarb bellinis - standard

Amazing Chicken Wings

I said a few days back that I would fill you in on what I have been doing for the past 6 months so...I've been working on developing a tourism website for my Dad's company that focuses on sustainable and responsible hospitality businesses across Ireland. Basically "green" hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, activities etc.

The site is all ready to go and is in the developers hands so once they've tidied a few things up it will be live!! I feel so incredibly proud of the site as it has been a tough few months but it has all been worth it especially as I feel this experience was a MAJOR factor in me getting my new job plus it has opened me up to a new career.

I'm still going to be overseeing a lot of the admin and of course the online presence as it is my little baby but I'm currently trying to find an intern who can do the day to day admin and marketing of the site.

Eek such an exciting time right now for me! I start my new job on Monday...but am heading off to Ardmore (a seaside village) for the weekend to chill out and lap in the sun!

Thanks for reading guys, Hope you all have a fan-flipping-tastic weekend, B x

June Goals

Agh it's June!!!!! Am I the only one who feels that this year is flying by??? I'm sure I say this every month but eh where have the past 31 days gone!!!

Flipping heck its the summer time :-)

As we all know I was useless in April with achieving the goals I had set for myself, well I've redeemed myself with May's Goals.

1. The Website is going live this week!!!! Check back on Friday for a post on what it is I've been doing :-)
2. I'm up to module 12 in my masters (slightly amended this goal)
3. And I'm feeling a lot more confident and positive. WHOOP!!!

On the third goal I have to say that I have the best family, close friends and a number of buddies who I consider to be closer too now, in the world! I knew if I could get through the past month I'd be flying it and you guys did too and no matter how down I was my god did you cheer me up. If I can be half the friend you were all to me I would be a very happy bunny. You guys rock :-)

Enough soppy stuff and on to my goals for June:

1. Decide on a career - now that the website is launched it's time for me to put my career aspirations first.
2. Get up to module 20 in my masters.
3. Get more involved in blogger communities especially Irish ones.

Another goal that I will be accomplishing this month is participating in the Cork City Marathon, that's on today eek!!

What goals have you guys planned to set yourself this month?

Thanks for reading peeps, B x

May Goals

Firstly Happy Bank Holiday Monday! I hope you are all taking it easy or using the day to catch up on life - me I'm just off to the gym then I'll be studying for the day :-)

Before that though I must let off some steam. I feel like I have wasted april and I am so angry with myself!
I achieved NONE of my April goals!!!

I got 7 modules of my masters done
The website still isn't launched
I can't run 10km

I AM FUMING WITH MYSELF!!!!!!

The website is seriously driving me mad I'm at the point of packing it in to be honest (I won't really)

Ok so I can't run 10km but I am in the gym 5 days a week. My fitness regime has shifted from all running to more weights/core work and I am loving it - I can feel and see the effects on my body and I have more energy and overall just feel better about myself. For the first time ever I am not dreading a bikini!

So on to my May Goals

1. Launch the site (not unexpected)
2. Get 12 modules done of my masters (need to up the anti)
3. Build back up my confidence & be positive

I'm sticking to three things so I can focus on getting them done.

I do also have a number of things to look forward to this month. I'm heading to see Beyonce on Saturday whoop whoop! And have a number of trips planned up to Dublin to see friends and for some planning. Also my Dad got me a Spa day so must book that too. So it's all go!

Bring it on May :-)
