And the award goes to....

Welcome back Monday :-) I hope everyone is having a great one so far, I have to say I am not one of those people who dreads Mondays - it's the start of a new week with new plans, goals and adventures so why dread it??

I also had a great weekend, I had two matches on Saturday so my body is a little sore now, I had a fun girly night out Sat night and then I had lunch and a great catch up with a good friend on Sunday followed by watching the Irish rugby match, nothing too strenuous but in my opinion a fab one.

I have no doubt that you were all aware that the BAFTA'S and Grammys took place last night and today I'm going to share with you my "Oh so hot" and "Oh so not" looks from the ceremonies.

First up the BAFTA'S:

Jessica Chastain was in my opinion the best dressed, cobalt blue is so hot right now and everything about this outfit is just right. Emilia Fox went for a simple look but added drama with those jewels, serious wow factor. Although Jennifer Lawerence looks freezing here I love how girly and delicate her dress is - Well done ladies.

Now for the "Oh so Not" of the BAFTA'S - Thandie Newtons looks so drab in my opinion, the hair, the lack of a bra and the see through segments just don't do it for me. I would love to know what Marion Cotilliard was thinking when she chose this dress, from the front it is ok but eh it's missing a rather large chunk from the back!! And Gemma Aterton's dress gives me a headache. They are all such beautiful women and I would have preferred to see them much more glamorous!

Now it's Grammys Time:

Hello Smoking Ladies!!! WOW WOW WOW - Carrie Underwood has never looked better in my opinion, that dress is fab and shows off her figure perfectly plus that necklace (picks jaw up off the floor) Ah Rihanna just when people think you are going a little too far with the fashion you turn up looking like this, I don't think any words are needed here lets just drool over her for a minute.... I'm not usually a fan of sheer panels & dresses (point proven above) but there is something about Kelly Rowlands outfit here that I like, when I first saw it I was impressed, her simple hairstyle and makeup balance out the dress and works perfectly.

Why? All three of you why?? If Florence Welsh had removed the off studs/spikes from the dress it wouldn't be here. After Angelina Jolie at last years Oscars you would have thought that Miss Jenny from the Block would have known that we do not like so much leg, especially when its being thrusted at you!! And to make matters worse the dress has nothing going for it! Fans of Americas Next Top Model will recognise Lisa D'Amato (she's a bit crazy) her outfit reminds me of a German Fraulein - enough said, eew!

So who were your fave's and not so fave? I'm not sure about you but I can not wait to see the dresses for the Oscars now, ooh award season rocks!

Thanks for reading guys, B

  1. The style was so much better at the Grammys than at the BAFTA's, Carrie Underwood is always beautiful!
